About the company

Cavendish Hydrogen is a global, dedicated hydrogen company, delivering optimal solutions to store, and distribute hydrogen, preferably produced by means of renewable energy, wind, water or solar. We have since 2003 served a wide range of different customers within hydrogen technologies by producing cutting edge hydrogen fueling stations enabling customers to fuel their fuel-cell electric vehicles within the same time and with equally long range as fossil-fueled vehicles, but without any emissions.

 

About the position and the department

We’re searching for an experienced Technical Writer to join our team and help take our client-focused services to new heights. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a highly technical field, such as product design documentation, production, service, installation and commissioning. Also important in this role are an ability to evaluate and analyze complex information and a natural desire to help people understand it.

As a Technical Writer you’ll be a part of a small Documentation Department that is supporting the whole Hydrogen Fueling organization. You will report directly to Head of Documentation in Fueling and your primary stakeholders will be colleagues involved in internal and external projects, engineering changes and other members of the Documentation Department.

 

Responsibilities

 

We expect that you excel in:

  • Create and maintain technical documentation such as User Manuals, Service Instructions, Installation Instructions, Upgrade Instructions, etc.
  • Drive changes from idea to implementation – act as a liaison between Subject Matter Experts and coordinate the update with relevant stakeholders
  • Review documents and manage external translations
  • Participate in project meetings and be responsible for delivering documentation
  • Support engineers working on ECR/ECO/ECN with documentation impact analysis and delivering updated documents
  • Support creation and maintenance of internal documentation processes
  • Preferred educational background and professional experience:

We expect that you possess:

  • Middle or higher education degree in communication, languages, linguistics, or similar.
  • Two or more years of experience as a Technical Writer
  • Excellent MS office skills (esp. Word, Excel, and SharePoint)
  • Documented language proficiency in both written and spoken English
  • Working knowledge of DMS and ECM
  • Working knowledge of relevant ISO standards within Document Management

 

Advantageous:

  • Working skills in Adobe Photoshop, Visio
  • Working knowledge of Machinery Directive, and Pressure Equipment Directive

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and follow-up
