Cavendish Hydrogen is a global, dedicated hydrogen company, delivering optimal solutions to store, and distribute hydrogen, preferably produced by means of renewable energy, wind, water or solar. We have since 2003 served a wide range of different customers within hydrogen technologies by producing cutting edge hydrogen fueling stations enabling customers to fuel their fuel-cell electric vehicles within the same time and with equally long range as fossil-fueled vehicles, but without any emissions.

 

About the Position

We are currently seeking a dedicated Student Worker/master’s student to join our dynamic EU Project & Service organization.In this new position, as a Student Worker, you will be part of our Service and Maintenance Department, and with the support of this new role we want to be able to optimize our Hydrogen Fueling Stations performance based on factual analysis. The role involves in-depth analysis of an extensive amount of data which is broadcasted back to HQ from fueling sites all over the world and the result of that analysis should help us deciding our maintenance strategies.

 

About the task

What we need is an in-depth statistical analysis to find correlation between historical collected technical data and based on that. We would like to be able to better predict component failures, and thereby start a ‘Condition Based Maintenance’ approach towards servicing stations in the field. (“Condition-based maintenance” (CBM) is a maintenance strategy that monitors the real-time condition of a technical system to determine what kind of maintenance needs to be performed).

The position is based in Herning, Denmark and it includes working as hourly paid for up to 25 hours per week, with the option to scale up the time in connection with holidays or study-free periods.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

You are expected to:

  • Perform statistical analysis on technical data and maintenance records to identify trends and patterns.
  • Develop ‘Condition-based maintenance’ models based on data insights to improve system reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Analyze technical data to determine correlations with equipment failures and the need for maintenance.
  • Generate regular reports, detailing findings, and recommendations for Condition-based monitoring.
  • Work closely with the Monitoring and Key Account engineering teams to implement data-driven improvements.

 

Your qualifications

  • You may currently be enrolled in a master's program in Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, or another related field.
  • Maybe you are planning on writing a thesis on ‘Condition Based Maintenance’, perhaps aiming on investigating statistical correlations within large amount of data.
  • You have a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, with a proven ability to interpret and visualize data to draw feasible conclusions.
  • You are experienced in working with statistical software and tools (e.g., R, Python, SAS) and understanding of database management.
