Mechanical Engineer/Compressor Engineer

Are you interested in developing state-of-the-art compressor technology for hydrogen fueling solutions? We are seeking a committed and highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Compressor team.

About the company

Cavendish Hydrogen is a global, dedicated hydrogen company, delivering optimal solutions to store, and distribute hydrogen, preferably produced by means of renewable energy, wind, water or solar. We have since 2003 served a wide range of different customers within hydrogen technologies by producing cutting edge hydrogen fueling stations enabling customers to fuel their fuel-cell electric vehicles within the same time and with equally long range as fossil-fueled vehicles, but without any emissions.

 

About the job

You will join a team covering a wide range of technical competencies within both component and compressor development, root cause analysis, vendor selection, design of experiments, data analysis, verification, and validation. You will work with the system and component design of our compressor. Your tasks will include creating 3D CAD models, FEA models, and other related design documentation.

Further you will be responsible for the creation technical purchase specifications for the mechanical design and the creation and maintenance of the technical documentation. Your role will involve close collaboration with strategic purchasing to ensure the delivery of new mechanical parts.

 

Professional experience

You have a master’s degree or equivalent technical certification in mechanical engineering, along with 5+ years of experience in 3D design and documentation. Your experience in 3D modeling and drawings of compressor systems, industrial machinery components, and fluid-power plumbing design is essential. Having a proficiency in Autodesk Inventor, ANSYS, and PLM tools for change management and revision control is needed and your knowledge of ERP tools is also important.
